Bushy epiphyte suggestions

Ideally, a red bush such as AR mini will look best at that spot, but it won’t grow under low light level at great depth. You already have a nice large leaf Buce on the right. Have you considered adding a small leaf Buce at the spot. I have a Red Mini Buce at the substrate level and it has vibrant color but grows at snail pace. The light green color of your Lobella actually looks good at that spot. If you don’t like it in the substrate, you can pot it in a small hydroponic pot and stick into the hole,. If it doesn’t stick you can superglue the plastic onto the rock. All my rosette and stem plants are planted in hydroponic pots and hidden behind rock, and the black plastic blends in easily.

I've got quite a few small leaved buce in the tank, Ideally i want something big there to fill the gap. I really want some more nice red/purple buce but there seems to be a bit of a shortage lately.
AR mini would be great but I don't think my lighting is good enough at the moment, hopefully will be upgrading soon though so It's a future option for sure.

Buce is so diverse that you can find any leaf size and color variation you want. But they are not cheap and all slow grower.

If you upgrade overall light to grow red plants, it can trigger algae in your low light epiphytes. I have the same dilemma as majority of my plants are low light and epiphytes. I found a way to get around it by providing spot light at the red stems which I also placed up high to maximize exposure.

Easier said than done my friend!

With regards to the lighting It's not going to be a massive change, going from the Fluval Aquasky to the Fluval PLant 3.0. I also have the two stock EA tubes so the Plant light will be gradually ramped up.
I will be adding quite a few more plants to so that should help in keeping things balanced
