Hi! My Limnobium has been infested with aphids for the past few months. How do I get rid of them without harming fish or the plants themselves?0acc1b33da71c03371f6de37aecc9b69.jpg0cc4d078fc0502d7ec44d007e882e398.jpg

Hi all,
How do I get rid of them without harming fish or the plants themselves?
Try trapping the plants underwater, the fish should eat the aphids.

If that doesn't work you can just wash them off under the running cold tap, the easiest way is to hold the plant directly in the flow from the tap. If you have mixer tap you can just add a little bit of warm water, I don't think the plants are bothered by the cold water, but it keeps your hands a bit more comfortable.

cheers Darrel

You can submerge the whole lot (by some meshh over it, or the like) - and I mean submerse ALL plant material for about 24 hours.
- planys, incl. Limnobium, will survive this.......but I very much doubt aphids will.
Aphids will, however, sit on surface tension, but most fish will love such supplement to their diet.......😎

edit: Darrell is just faster in typing, than I am.......🙂
