Hi, not sure where to put the thread but i ll put it here instead

I have various Anubias purchased at different time, the tank had been quite neglected, used premixed nutrient and a lot of skipped dosing. So my anubias range from pale green to pale yellow, i m suspecting its iron deficiency, along with anubias my water wisteria and cyrpt wendtti is also quite pale

skip 1 month after dosing EI regulary the water wisteria is growing wild, leafs are green at new and old growth, the crypt has green up, but the anubias is still yellow ish, so in your experiance how long is anubias recovery time? should i trim all the leafs or sit and wait?

Hi all,

I doubt it is iron deficiency, the new growth on the other plants is almost certainly due to the addition of N and K from the EI dosing. when the Anubias grow new leaves they will also be darker green.

If you leave the existing leaves on they will still photosynthesise, but they probably won't green up.

Once new green leaves are growing you can take the older leaves off. If you take the yellow leaves off now, the plant will probably produce new leaves more quickly, but in the longer term it will take longer to recover fully. Anubias don't grow very quickly in any circumstances, so it is going to be a slow process.

cheers Darrel
