Angelfish disease

Thanks everyone for feedback, after your suggestions i will keep in display tank and will try food with seachem garlic. If it not work, I will try other medecines
I thought you’d tried garlic and it hadn’t worked. Try beef heart.

This guy stopped eating again. When I feed fished, he stays in other corner of the tank, completly lost interest in food. No major changes in tank. All other fishes are healthy and brreeding.
I will be grateful for your advises!

Looking at this it appears a pecking order issue if the fish in question looks healthy, barring being picky about food, for the moment l would observe the aquarium for any behavioral issues and try different foods, in moderation

In general he does not looks sick, he swimming with his pair, sometimes becoming territorial against other fishes. All ohter fishes are healthy. I tried pellets, granules, frozen food, but he just not interested.

My suspicion. A group of angel fish in anything but a huge tank will often produce a loner who is ultimately persecuted to the point of starvation, severe damage and death. The name is a misnomer. They are aggressive, territorial and highly predatory and unlike say corydoras not harmlessly social, tactile and indifferent to other fish species. They are also quite large fish and too big for most standard aquariums, even with a four foot tank it is a fine art to keep angel fish healthy and at harmony.

He is not get bullied by other fished I have observed for long times and aquarium really bit it is 250cm.

Certainly a large tank size, in fact enormous for a domestic situation and I followed your most interesting thread ref. it being installed etc., but I suspect that you still have a social issue. A friend has an almost identical sized tank in London and keeps Altum angelfish and still has issues with bullying. In no way did I mean to suggest your tank was unsuitable, just that angelfish are not easy going sociable fish. I strongly believe that angelfish are best kept as a pair or in large groups, perhaps a dozen or so, in very large aquariums. Clown loaches and angelfish are probably the most commonly sold inappropriate fish, but I'm sure folks here will have lots of other candidates, I have never had success with hatchet fish, they always eventually jump out on me. I have in the dim and distant past kept a pair of angelfish in a 120 cm tank successfully, but then they bred every couple of months and terrorised the other inhabitants.

I had a lone angelfish who seemed at peace with the world and a collection of smaller fish, for quite some years in a 175 cm tank, the largest tank I've ever had. I certainly don't think from what you have shared that this fish has a medical condition that we can treat with any proprietary medications. Best wishes, and keep us updated on your tank, which is very attractive.
