I've been wondering if you was wanting to lower nitrates for red plants could you for example use tropica specialised on one day which contains nitrates and tropical premium the following day with no nitrates of will this could the nutrients to be imbalanced?

I'm using apt 3 now but looking for ways to get more colour from my rotata. I have a twinstar 450S light and c02

I'd give it a go and see what happens. CO2 will drive the demand for nutrients, but there will be a sweet spot where you have a balance between degree of red coloration and acceptable growth.
