Accidental tree

Any idea what this can be growing out of a neglected pot in the garden? A salix? Wondering if we can keep it, or if can I feed to the guinea pigs... Time to pick up gardening, obviously!

You could keep it in the pot or a patio pond because willows love their feet wet.

I can see what you mean, but Hydrangeas have opposite buds, and these are alternate. I think it is a Willow (Salix) or just possibly a Poplar (Populus).
