i have taken georges advice and have aded some pea gravel although i dont think it is dark enough to match the stones and if i find any darker i will add some. but here it is with gravel

not sure it looks much different. maybe with the darker stuff itll be more noticable

Some darker would work well mixed with the lighter stuff you already have.

Yeah I agree some darker gravel mixed in, Maybe even use some contrasting polished river stones.

got the rotala in today aoart from that not alot changed apart from the darker gravel added

I like this very much. Sometimes you don't need a lot of plants to make a scape work.

update:
i have added some blyxa. i would rather have tenellus but i wanted to enter into AGA and i dont think it will have changed from emmersed by then 🙁

The Blyxa really adds to the scape which looks nicely balanced now.
Those Roach fry are growing very fast

i have been feeding them live food. mosquito lavae in fact. all i do is leave a tub of water out and the mosquitos lay them in there. the fish love them 😀
