3 stone Iwagumi

Now that the days are shorter and Glasgow has gotten its usual cloudy, the green hair algae has died back and the tank is looking clean again; must have first started growing due to sunlight reaching the tank through the window. I always try to take as much algae out as I can manually during the water changes -- when it was sunnier it would all grow back within a week or two, but now it has not returned.
I have noticed the little seed shrimp munching on the monte carlo, so I am trying to reduce their population. They hang about in the frogbit roots, so I rinsed the frogbit well before putting it back in the tank during the last water change, hopefully that has gotten rid of some. Not a big issue though, I guess I could see it as free carpet trimming!
