Just set up this 15l cube. My first proper go at trying an aquascaped, planted aquarium. I've done biotopes and other planted aquariums in the past but this 1 is the first time building and gluing the hardscape. Anyway, hopefully you like it and I can only improve over time.

I like the emergent growth! What's the plant? Personal preference but do you ever cap your substrate with sand/gravel? I'm v low tech and don't use soil, so have quite a bias towards a sandy/ more natural substrate. Totally up to you as per, hope it grows in well 🙂

I have capped the soil but don't necessarily need to if you're going heavily planted as you don't really see the substrate anyway.

The plant is bucephalandra achiles black BTW.
