What is it for, auto top up? water changes?
Not sure if any electrical item is SAFE around children, especially when water is involved...
I must admit I don't find them anymore expensive than any other aquarium shop on the high street.
The internet is normally always cheaper.
But sometimes it's worth having a knowledge base that you can pop in on. :)
I moved house 12 mths ago, I have 3 tanks the largest is my 90H on this tank i stripped it to move it. I removed all hard scape, all fish etc cought and put in buckets, i then scraped a corner of the substrate away until i could see the glass bottom and emptied all the water into buckets. Left...
I understand the above but as i gave the example of TFH ( Tropical Fish Hobiest) magazine, this is a paid for mag but the editor company allows viewing of PDF's for free. Was the link similar?
Re: How to remove fine scratches on glass on inside of Aquar
I wonder if james did the journal.
Did i see one of Tom's threads with a guy polishing his tank before he scaped it?
Wazuck has mentioned a company called TMC, their regs are designed for their refilable paintball type tanks and they also do one with a normal din477 fitting, they also make 477 to 320 adapters. Andys aquatics on the wirral can help, but any TMC supplier can get them.
They can also be found on...
Don't quote me on this, and i will try and find out exactly, but i think royal mail's policy is no livestock, and fish/shrimp have to be smaller than a certain size.
I will check now though!
You are ok with shrimp fry and fish fry see royal mails restrictions page below...
Correct, but i was trying to make a point, and that is lead is toxic, so avoid if you possibly can :)

If anyone wants to know which lead types may be used for fishing :D
Lead is not fine!!!!
Plumbing solder is lead free and normally flux free! ensure this first.
Yes some older properties still have lead pipes, but most get replaced or lined now. And in the fishing world lead weights have been banned. :)
As whitey wrote " a set of tweezers is just a set of tweezers " and a Audi is just a Audi.
I own both. I paid for my tweezers at TGM and I paid for my Audi at Audi used car sales.
I paid over the odds for my car and my tweezers for the aftercare service.
Stop slating a great British...
I can't believe that people are having a bad experience with TGM. They are by far the best retailer I have been to in this country. Closely followed by the likes of the abyss
As for discount don't shop for food in M & S if all you can afford is asda.
And don't buy a Rolls Royce if you want a...
TGM was cheaper than aquariums limited and AC aquatics for the braceless optiwhite tank i wanted! don't rule them out beacuse of their pricy ada stuff :)
Always worth getting a few quotes from different places i find.
i agree not a leg to stand on, he should have pre soaked your wood first and scrubbed it clean then tested water before putting it in with his livestock.
I can't see Nitrate killing the fish unless it was very high for months and even then i'm not sure this would kill the fish.
Ok fisherkeepeer as I have said above there are a few ways to kill it. Once it is dead maintain a stable carbon level. Either inject co2 or use liquid carbon daily.
SAE's will eat it.
There are several ways to kill this... Try all or one up to you :)
-Increase CO2 and flow distribution around plants ( watch fish, and up co2 slowly)
-Inject liquid carbon onto affected area with syringe
-Depending on your plant types, on water change drop water level so plants are emersed...
I'm with there's guys.
It's co2 related. If you don't inject co2. It's still co2 related.
Why?
It is the fluctuation in co2 levels that causes it.
If you inject co2 then up your bubble rate and increase flow distribution around plants.
If you don't inject co2 it will be the water...
I use 2 x arc pod lights on my 35l arc. But if money was no object i would get the arcadia LED unit.
