My reg has a 1/8 Bsp female port and my needle vale has a 1/8 bsp male...... They go together nicely! I used "Valeda" Plated brass fittings on all external connections and only used the push on stuff to my cheapo check valve and to the diffuser

hotweldfire..... I also blew out a short length of CO2 tube because I had it connected in the wrong place... made quite a bang blew back through the regulator and damaged a seal in that and scared the h*** out of the missus :D Fortunately as it is my job to muck about with pressure regulators...

thanks Mark. :) I appreciate your response and my own research was leading me to believe this was OK too. I am going to try two or three Aquaessentials Aponogeton species. My tank is being set upfor Discus fish so these may not like the extra warmth. We will see! thanks again

o_O perhaps this is a stupid question.....do I just put the bulbs in the aquarium gravel or do I put them into pots in the gravel. Maybe use some nutrient rich planting medium... which one? Someone must at least have an opinion!

Can any body give me some advice on planting bulbs in my 300 liter tank. I have some space that needs filling in my tank and I have a yearning to try slow growing bulbs in pots buried in to the current substrate as well as adding some mosses to the front of my set up to cover the mixed up...

My CO2 reagent is yellow..... until I put it in the drop checker. With the 4dkh water it goes blue straight away and then goes green after a couple of hours in the tank. (Right now its pale green and the plants are lurvin it)

I wouldnt be shouting too loud about where you get your slate from! People up here will get very upset with people taking natural stone and plants from the fells. Hope your scape goes well though but be careful of the sheep poo and its remains!

Thanks for the reply and I sort of had that figured.... you cant fix somethings without undoing the damage. If you live in a glass house and stop throwing stones then the glass will no longer get broken but the glass that was already broken wont fix itself!

Would this problem be sorted by doing the opposite of the related faults? ie improve the CO2 and Nutrition or is a blackout the only way to go.
