had this tank and all the hardware and hardscape material sat in the corner since before xmas thought i would make a start.

light is a 24" APS 2 x 24watt t5
filtration is a aquazonic 1200
substrate is 9lts ADA aquasoil malaya topped with another...
read that this plant is carnivorous and feeds off small insects just wondered if it was safe for shrimplets had this 'little shop of horrors' image in my head.
whats the best way to plant and grow Rotala Macrandra successfully im on my third/fourth attempt at growing this with no success at all it just melts everytime.

just set up my D&D system it says in the information that 1 BAR is high enough and that 12 bubbles per minute should be plenty doesnt seem very much when its running im using an UP inline defuser i can hardly see any bubbles or mist coming out does anyone else run theres above 1BAR.

as the title says really i have just had the worst experience with limpopo sand raising my pH from 6.3-8.2 im now about to buy some new sand to replace the limpopo and wanted to make sure this wouldnt happen again so if anyone has any experience with the Okavango Sand from GM that would be great...
HI so i used tropica planting substrate and limpopo sand in my new tank thinking they were both inert my tap water is pH 6.4 but now after 2 months the pH in my tank has risen to 8.2 theres nothing on greenmachine website to say either of these products will raise the pH just wondered if anyone...
hi got some dragon stone from green machine it didnt say on there website if it would change the water chemistry or if it was inert just wanted someone to shed some light on it please

hi all im new here and could use some help sourcing this plant Echinodorus parviflorus 'Tropica' (Compact/Tropica Sword)
they do have the plant listed at java plants but upon arrival there version stands at around 7" tall strange as its in there foreground section.
