    I can echo a good start but I think you need more plants to help you. I would suggest either getting rid of the frogs or changing the water more frequently, they will be polluting a lot and could contribute to your algae problems

    This is right in my experience. Bolbitus is tough stuff, snapping is not easy, and if your scissors aren't up to much then the bruising will occur also.

    You'll probably find that the more you scrub the stones, the more grey will be revealed. This stone is made up of a lot of orangey clay within the cavities so I'd advise a very thorough clean with a toothbrush, you'll be surprised how even the hard surface is actually clay and comes right off

    :lol: Mine grow fairly quickly too If you're rescaping anyway, you could try trimming most of the leaves off the crypts in the middle, to reveal your hardscape again. Also, how do you trim your lilaeopsis? Like grass? I tried that in my pico and it just stuck it's fingers up at me and died :lol:

    If you're looking to completely pack out the back with plants then the hardscape is great where it is, otherwise you'd risk losing it is a mass of plants. Go with your gut and try it, you can always rescape
