    My 240L planted tank

Re: My low-tech 240 ltr planted tank Things have changed a bit since the post above. Tank is no longer a low-tech since pressurized co2 has been applied thanks to an Aquatic Nature Professional kit. Bubble count is set at 3 bubles per second. As for ferts, i am dosing once weekly Seachem...

Juwel Bioflow filters in Planted Tanks...Need Help!

Hi Alt81, infact i was thinking about this, since the wavemaker was also responsible for co2 loss. I so am still running with the 600l/h internal, and i believe a 1000l/h would be a fair balance. You can PM me if you are still willing to "hand" one of them. Many thanks, appreciate.

    Distilled water dkh

Read somewhere that distilled water is an ideal type as a 4dkh for drop checker purposes and "got" some and tested it prior to using it in the drop checker. however dkh was zero. As i can't find a 4dkh solution at the moment, is it better to use the distilled water rather than aquarium water in...

    Juwel Hi-Lite Colour Temperatures

I have read those answers ceg, sorry for questioning again, but was really lost when comparing other non-co2 tanks of my friends which had hetreranthera growing as fast as hell! As for the bubbles per second i was a bit afraid into inputting large amounts instantly of co2, as they could harm the...

When will Plant growth with Co2 be noticeable?

I installed the Aquatic Nature Co2 system last monday and i'm dosing around 2-3 bubbles per second in my 240 ltr tank. Todate i still haven;t noticed any particular growth :( I witnessed some slight pearling in the Heteranthera Zosterifolia and even in an Anubia barberi, but am disappointed as...

    Pearling

A simple question..... Which plants pearl most than others and why? Should the pearling be proportional to the growth rate? I mean, do fast growing stem plants pearl more than slow growing anubias?

    Juwel Hi-Lite Colour Temperatures

Infact i was going to open up another thread as i am experiencing a stunted or no growth whatsoever, even though i started injecting pressurized Co2 last Monday. Plants are a Heteranthera Zosterifolia, Amazon Sword, Anubias, Vallis Asiatica and Crypts species. Crypts and anubias are doing fairly...

    Is Co2 visible in aquariums?

I use the drop checker supplied with the Aquatic Nature professional kit. The instructions say to use it with aquarium water, so in my case is not a 4dkh but 10dkh. @Arana: 1 bubble per minute?! isn't that too little?

    Is Co2 visible in aquariums?

I just set-up my Aquatic nature Professional Co2 system. Co2 is visible as it leaves the glass diffusor, but i'd like to ask if its normal to see micro co2 bubbles floating around the tank (thanks also to the circulation Newave Pump). I beleive this is a good sign but i also like to ask if this...

Juwel Bioflow filters in Planted Tanks...Need Help!

i bought the newave nw2000 for 28euros. flow is 2200l/h. but it was quite too much on a 240 ltr tank. i have heard that the koralia are more gentle with low pressure.
