    MANZANITA (GHOSTWOOD)

No, none left, I looked at freshwater shrimps site ages ago. Sells good moss though, bought some for my 5 year olds class guppy tank, looks stunning. I set it it up ada style with beach driftwood . But I knew the tank was for livebearers so wasn't concerned about salt leaching.

    MANZANITA (GHOSTWOOD)

Hello all, I just want to ask if any of you had any spare pieces of manzanita that you could possibly sell to me, or, even know of any where, where I could purchase some. There must be some little lfs that has a few pieces kicking around. I have already bought a lot of pieces from various...

    grobeam 600 light spread

My uncle has the 1500 tile and runs it about 80% on a high light 20" cube , so I guess 20% is low , I know the tile has the same amount of leds as twin 600;s but it will not look the same on 20%, as the tiles leds are all concentrate and the 600;s have them strung out over their length. But if...

    grobeam 600 light spread

When you say inline , I guess this is another term for head to tail, which is what I had in mind. I think the other way would be called parallel or even side by side. Love these technical terms. Thanks, anyway, I guess I just wanted a bit of reassurance that my idea was not stupid. So twin...

    grobeam 600 light spread

Thanks for reply, So do you think a tank length of 110cm is pushing it as far as two grobeams are concerned? I was just thinking along the lines of some people just using one tube on their low light tanks. I know leds have a different light quality to tubes, but, It is is a tricky one getting a...

    grobeam 600 light spread

Do you have any photos ? also, you say the lights are 5cm above the surface with lowered output , could you tell me what percent you have them running at please? I was hoping to have them raised at least 20cm from surface to allow the bolbitis I have in mind ,to grow in its emersed form. Does...

    grobeam 600 light spread

Hello , I am just working out the pro's and con's of different lighting fixtures for my next aquarium, which will be a 110cm x 40cm x 50cm (h) ada stlyle, low light ,high tech. So I was wondering, having seen the ada aquasky leds, if the same effect could be reproduced with a twin grobeam 600...

    calling all led gurus

Thank you all for the replys, I think this may all boil down to costs as three of these bulbs cos £27 am not sure if just three would have enough punch to outshine the two t8s to give any contrast or glitter lines. Also going on the amount of lumens per bulb(180), i would need more than 12 of...

    calling all led gurus

Thanks for reply , i have already browsed this thread(sort of) and it gets a bit more involved than i would like at the moment. I understand that the best led's should be around three watts and between 5000 and 7000k but i am asking about the ones in gu10 bulb form as i think i could easily...

    calling all led gurus

Hello all, what i would like to know is, are gu10 led's a viable source of light for plants?. I have seen some 3 watt led's in gu10 form that are 5500k have a 60 degree light spread and also have a built in heat sink. Iam not really into soldering and driver choice and other general wiring...
