Hello plantkeepers.

New member from Denmark need help.
i want to setup a new planted tank with the dimensions 80x55cm and 50cm Water depth.
I want to try the chihiros wrgb2, but im not sure that a 60cm lamp could cover this.
Should i maybe try with 2pc 45cm and apply them across the aquarium.
Any suggestions from you guys and girls?

/Tony

Hi! It should be enough if you suspend the 60cm bar above the tank. If you use the brackets then it should also work unless the planting and hardscape create major shadows on the sides. Afaik, the Chihiros bars are not modular and designed to be joined. So, it would be easier (and cheaper) to get a suspended WRGB 90cm than trying to combine 2x 45cm bars. You can also consider adding later a 80cm Chihiros A-801 in case the 60cm does not provide enough lateral coverage. Other brands, like daytime, have 75-80cm bars.

I cant hang det light suspended.
It has to stand on the original brackets.
Im considering to take 2pc 45cm and place them, across the aquarium,
that is from the front glas to the back.
dont you guys Think that would cover the tank better?

I'd consider 3 unless you have a center brace.
Or switch brands .2 of these, controlling 2 may be a bit problematic:
