Hiya guys
So I had a few Lampeyes that were stressing my shrimp out so I moved them to the gourami tank. They seem to be very happy and have started breeding (watching them flare at each other is hilarious, tiny things)
One of the eggs is on the substrate but looks white. I had just fed them so unfortunately there's some food that's settled but it's white. If I recall white = fungus?
The picture is a little distorted for some reason, the egg is actually round

Fungus normally takes about a day to form. It could be that they're not fertilised. Corydoras eggs are often white if not fertilised.
I've not bred lampeyes but gardneri killifish eggs are clear to begin with and as they develop you can start to see the eyes inside. Also true of pseudomugil rainbows, so I imagine it would be the same for lampeyes. Not the best pics but there are some examples below.

Oh wow thanks thats really helpful. The snails have pounced on it so its not gonna survive. Reassuring to know they are happy enough to breed though. Thanks Scarecrow!
