which shrimp to start with?

hi, i have just bought a superfish aqua-qube 40l tank which i am going to heavily plant, but i'm not sure which shrimp species to start with. at first i was thinking cherry shrimp, but i think i'd prefer something a bit different. are there any other easy to keep/breed shrimp that i could start with, and that are quite easy to source?

Have a look at Kesgrave Tropicals' eBay page - they've usually got stuff like CRS, cherrys, amanos, green, yellow and orange shrimp (like cherries), tigers etc etc. They're one of my locals too 😀

hi, i've had a look, and also at petshrimp.com and i really like the crystal red shrimp. i've read that there are different grades of them, but does it matter what grade they are, and how does the grading work? if you have shrimp of a certain grade, will their offspring be of the same grade, or does it change like f1's and f2's in plants?

also, how much do they cost, and where could i buy them from?
