Hi All,

I planted some hairgrass this weekend, I divided the plant and planted sparsely as I am hoping to get it to carpet.

I was planning on trimming it down this coming weekend to stimulate growth, but wanted to know if this would be too early, and how short should I be trimming (I was thinking about 2 - 3 cm's)?

Some of the plantlets are looking as though they are establishing themselves as I have seen one of two runners appearing.

Thanks.

2-3cm is a cut height to trim at. Cutting it early should make it start to make runners to spread and get more compacted.
