What Plant Is This

Any idea what the long tall and thin plant is?#

Any idea what type if it is? As I have vallis and sagittatria in another tank and this is like straw, harder and fine.
 
Im 100% its not Vallis after reading that article. Mondo Grass, looks a bit like it for sure, any other ideas?
 
it's a non aquatic plant often sold as an aquatic plant. The leaves look to thin on the pics to be vallis, but i may be wrong.
 
Im sure its not vallis, very sure. Was sold at MA, interested to find anyone who has any other idea to what it could be. ta.
 
Can't imagine Maidenhead Aquatics selling it if its not submersible then. Hmmm well unless someone else finds a name for it I will be on the phone in the morning.

Then it could only be V.nano as its tall and fine, its not like "normal" vallis at all. Its almost like needles.
 
Well I phoned Maidenhead Aquatics and they said it would only be V.nano and they would not have ordered it as anything else. So I guess that's what it must be.
 
Hard for me to tell from the picture but are you sure it's not cyperus helferi?

I know you were looking for it. And MA do have it in sometimes (normally labeled tho)
 
It's certainly not that, no....but I do want some.
 
Actually the vall. Nana has leaves that are a bit "harder and more straw like" than the other Valisneria. To me it looks perfectly like the nana vallis.
 
I think that's what it must be, we will soon see if its rots or not.
