What IS "bio" soy bran

I recently noticed the ingredients on Snow Flakes shrimp food is 100% bio soy bran. Snow flakes make neos and Caridina shrimp alike absolutely flock to the food. But seeing as it's $25 for 30 grams, of course I am looking into making my own. A couple of sellers state that it is soybean skin, but not sure what part of a soybean would even be considered the "skin." Anyone fooled around with rolling your own? Thanks!

Thank you! I will Google further, thus far most every result was for the brand of food. My girlfriend eats edamame like I eat popcorn, would be interesting to see if I could extract shrimp food from her "waste bowl." We just boil and salt it, and salt is easy enough to get off of the soy... Hmm
