I have a tub of TNC Trace Mix I found in my shed, which I am going to use in my fert mix, but I'm not sure which chelator is used, as I have very hard water I think I need dtpa? does anybody know or where can I find out the info.
They don't do it any more, It was bought more than ten years ago if i remember, it's when you could get all the different salts from them. You might have to try to contact the company for that info.
Fwiw, their Complete Aquarium Plant Food lists EDTA.
Their Iron AT lists DPTA which is good for pH in the low 7s but by the time pH gets to 8 about 80% of the iron will be precipitated out.
The strongest chelator is EDHAA which keeps iron available up to pH 9 or more.
They don’t list a trace mix on their site so perhaps they no longer offer it.
Things always change, don’t they? They don't do it any more, It was bought more than ten years ago if i remember, it's when you could get all the different salts from them.
Mostly for the worse.Things always change, don’t they?
