What are the rarest plants?

Hi Danny
Look here  http://ukaps.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=20222
Don't think they are that rare in America/Japan...but the are hard to come-buy and expensive in the UK.
Especially if you purchase them and get them shipped from the far East.
Maybe someday...fellow is selling a sprig on Ebay £8.00 plus postage...i think.

Buces' are meant to be ultra expensive in Japan because a lot of them are coming as wild strains straight from borneo.

It might seem counter intuitive but for the purposes of our hobby I would say our native plants are probably the rarest in that they're never used, failing that, birdsleaf ferns and mosses wild collected are probably secondary on the list.
