What are the benefits of using a Venturi air supply in a tank?

Hi all, I was wondering if adding some air in my tank would be beneficial. It is an 80 litre tank co2 injected. I use a fluval 204 rated at 800l/h and an Aquael sponge filter which features a Venturi inlet on the nozzle.

Venturi adds bubbles which in turn increase surface agitation so better gasous exchange. Not good to use of using CO2 as the increased surface aggitition will increase CO2 loss from water.
But in non CO2 tank it will improve CO2 levels slightly during the photoperiod and increase O2 levels at night. Plus the surface scum will be reduced too.
