I’ve got a weird algae growing in my high tech tank, I’ve tried lowering nutrients, light levels, increase CO2, dosing various different liquid carbon (Easycarbo etc) and it’s not working. It’s not attaching to anything but gets caught in the base of my plants and I keep having to manual remove it every day and it just relentless.

I thought it was a staghorn algae but it’s not, I’ve never come across it before. I’m considering using a algaecide like Easy-Life Algexit. But concerned how that would effect the Riccia, Java, Moss, Blyxa etc.

What it should I try next?

Thanks in advance.

I’ve been looking for a id all over the web and pretty sure it’s a Cladophora species, def not staghorn as I’ve dealt with that before.
