Weeping moss

Hi all my Weeping moss was looking fine i gave it a trim and it now look brown and not feel at all what do you think the problem is? :?

My Christmas moss some times looks brown when I trim it if I have let it go mad but soon greens up again.

Was it mega thick before you trimmed it? If so it could be that the moss right at the base has had a bit of die off due to lack of light and nutrients.
If it is all literally brown and dead well it could be too late but aslong as it looks atleast half alive it'll grow back in time.
