Hey guys and galls,
Another new journal. These two are intended as breeding tanks for my Crystal Red and Crystal Black shrimp. Been really struggling with these two as far as algae are concerned. but I think I'm on the way back now, after some serious liquid CO2 and reducing the lighting, even though I do still have some scrubbing of the hardscape to do. Hope you like these!
Hardware:
Aquarium Superfish Home 25
Filter Superfish Aquaflow 100
Heater Superfish Nano 50 Watt
DIY Bio CO2 diffused through a cigarette filter stuffed in some tubing, drilled to fit underneath the filter
Substrate:
Old, mature substrate
VDL Black Gravel 1-3 mm.
Hardscape:
Dragon Stone
Flora:
- Micranthemum sp. "Monte Carlo"
- Pogostemon Helferi
- Alternanthera Reineckii sp. "Mini"
- Hygrophylla Araguaia
- Mayaca Fluviatilus
- Ammania Praetermissa
- Bacopa sp. "Japan"
Fauna:
- Crystal Red (left tank) and Crystal Black (right) shrimp
- Ember Tetra's (left tank)
- Mosquito Rasbora (right tank)
- Hara Jerdoni
CO2 & Ferts:
CO2 is on 24/7, going at about 1bp3s (with a Dennerle Bubble Counter)
I dose EI (2,5 ml. Micro (days 1-3-5) and 1,25 ml. Macro with 0,5 ml. Flourish Iron (days 2-4-6) with one restday)
