hi all

as it says...

i am curious to see a video of how much folks
plants wave around and the surface disturbance

i have never really seen a lot of planted tanks "in the flesh"
and am guessing what sort of surface movement is good

heres mine, comments welcome..

bit of info first...

its a 3' tank, co2 is pushed out at low level by a small filter that is chewing it up
and shooting it low across the cuba in the middle,

regarding the spray bar, its opened up a good bit as the tank was a whirlpool
i have it under the surface, pointing upwards

thanks

its not all about having plants swyaing like a maniac.
mine dont sway but i have a current that runs along the back left to right. and then a small koralia nano pointing at the foreground. as long as nutrients can flow around the tank and you have no visible obstructions you should be fine.

you tank looks okay, you could add a small koralia on the right hand side but your plants are growing fine anyway

Hi 4,

Can you explain what you mean by "its opened up a good bit as the tank was a whirlpool"?

Thanks
Rob

hi rob

I have made the holes of the spraybar bigger
to reduce the speed of the water coming out

it works well, you still get the full flow of the filter
without the really powerful jets

if you are thinking of doing it go really slow,
even a very small increase in the holes size does the job,

Regards
