My Vallis has gone a bit overgrown and I can't really work out how to control it without ripping the whole lot out. Is it prunable? I'm sure the website I purchased it off said it would grow to 50cm (the height of my tank) but after separating a leaf out its about triple that! I don't really know what do to with it, any ideas?

You can peel/strip the leaves back like a bananna.
Or you can cut the leaves at this angle ^ to look more natural.
You can do that at at any length you want.

I had one like that. It was a pain because I couldn't stop it growing across the surface and it blocked the light to much. Removing leaves doesn't stop the others from growing long and cutting them just makes it look tatty. I pulled it all out in the end.

Cheers, I'll try trimming them like you suggest, if they still look a mess I think I'll have to remove them
