I've upgraded my 80 litre tank which now has FE Co2, 2x 24w compact flourescent tubes and just about to start E.I dosing (origionally only 24w and no Co2, just liquid carbon and all in one fert) I made the mistake of upping the light straight away (7hours at 48w) while trying to get the Co2 dosing right (so Co2 levels were all over the place for a while, but stable lime green now) which resulted in a bit of an algae bloom (its not too bad but I wanted to nip it in the bud) . On advice received in another post (Thanks London Dragon!) I've dropped back to 24w and 6 hours light and double the liquid carbon dosing which seems to be helpin but I'll give it a while to settle.. So the question is looking ahead, how do I go about ramping up the inputs? Do I extend the photoperiod first or the intensity?
