Well last night was entertaining, trying to plant 100 dwarf sag plants in moler clay/compost substrate. I'd say 40% just keep floating and the ones that are in are below the crown.
maybe try a small stone/large gravel and place it on the roots/base of the plant. within a few days the plants should root and you could move the stone so the plant will grow in the upright fashion.
I know its alot of grief, but may solve the problem.
Yeah putting a pebble or something on them was a thought I had, must nip down the beach and get a bag full. I have been replanting the floaters with my tweezers and gradually I'm getting them to stay put. It seems the cat litter is very light even though it's saturated.
Although the crowns are below the surface the structure is so open and the stuff so light I don't think it's the same as putting it in dense gravel or sand, I hope.
I'm going to lay off putting and decent flow in there and certainly no fish (I was hoping with that amount of plants I could add all my fish straight away )
