Just found a casualty in my tank :( but not before my inverts did...…

Shame about the Columbian Tetra but my Assassin Snails & Amano shrimp are making the most of it. Not sure what killed it as they all seem healthy. Eleven tetra's left, all seem ok as is my Discus but time for a bit more monitoring plus a precautionary water change I think...…. :nailbiting:
 
24 Hours later, 100+ Assassin Snails with a few Amano Shrimp have made short work of the body. Just a glass like skeleton remains, ghostly but rather beautiful. I'm afraid my camera work doesn't do it justice.....

I watched the TV programme 'Blue Planet' the 'Deep Ocean' episode a while ago, where a dead whale fell to the bottom of the sea & was slowly eaten by all the sea creatures till nothing but whalebone remained. A bit like that I suppose, but on a smaller scale.
