Trimming Crypts

Hi. I know that there are people who will completely trim Crypts when initially planting, to avoid the ‘melt’ and encourage new growth. But, when it comes to established crypts, can you remove all the leaves, in order to encourage a new lot of fresh growth or will it kill it off? I inject CO2 and gave good lighting by the way. Cheers

I don't completely remove the leaves but I DO regularly prune the outer leaves. By regularly, I mean Monthly. I do this to get rid of any traces of algae which grows on older leaves and also to encourage new growth.
