Made the transition from excel to pressurised co2 should I still dose the excel for a period of time? How long will it take for the plants to transform with the rubusco effect if any? Should I raise the fert dosing?

If your dosing full EI there should be plenty of ferts already a available.
I would carry on adding excel for a while, getting the pressurised co2 right can take a while.
Excel can also help reduce Algae.
If you have a pH pen think about doing a pH profile of the tank, also the water flow arround the tank can be alot more critical.
