Hi,

Our floor is tilted but otherwise stable, meaning it is not giving in even for a larger tank. Putting TMC signature cabinet (600 mm long) without any adjustments is a bad idea, since the tilt is about 1 cm/m near the wall. I can come up with three options.

1. Adding laths with appropriate thickness under the feet

2. Fixing adjustable feet directly to the cabinet

3. Fixing adjustable feet to a thick board and setting the cabinet on the board.

Any insights? Thanks.

4. Adding laths with appropriate thickness to a piece of 18mm marine block board, then put stand on this.

Has the super advantage as easy to lift and fiddle a piece of board rather than a whole stand. No need to modify or stick anything to the stand. If you cock it up, get a new piece of board, stand remains un touched...

Get idea of lath thickness needed by, silicone polishing the tiles (so nothing sticks), putting daubs of plaster onto the tiles, placing 18mm board on top. Make sure you use a suitably big spirit level (and mallet) to get the board 100% level before the plaster sets. Allow plaster to set, lift up and measure daub thicknesses, duplicate with bits of wood.

Or cheat and use these instead if wood laths, use contact adhesive to stick to the board first. I used these along with 12 (or 18)mm block board to get a washing machine on a wonky concrete floor 100% flat.
