Is my tapwater suitable for (lower grade) CRS, or harder water shrimp? I currently have 2 Amanos, which have successfully molted at least twice over the last 2 months.
Tank size: 20L
Temperature: 21 °C
TDS: 150ish in tank
Tapwater
6.2pH
2.09 dKH
0.9GH
Inert substrates and hardscape, low tech and no ferts.

Thanks

I believe my LFS keeps their cherries in normal tap water.
Your water is much softer than mine (here TDS is about 290, 5 KH and 12GH pH 7.4).

I am just setting up my shrimp tank and from what I have read cherries should be fine in most tap water but Tigers and CRS are more demanding.
I think the different species have quite different requirements. I have 10 Amanos in my main tank that is just tap water and they seem healthy enough.

I found http://aquariuminfo.org/shrimp.html pretty useful resource and it seems to agree with most things I have read about different shrimp
