Hi All,
I have started a high-tech tank here in Dundee (UK) using tap water and for some reason I am now encountering thread/filamentous algae. I am using CO2 injection and its receiving the same amount of light via a Twinstar as in the beginning. The tank is almost 2 months old. Was using Apt EI and now switched to Apt Zero for about 2 weeks already and the algae is getting worse. When I test I read near zero NH and NO2 and NO3. The pH sits at about 6.9 at the end of the lighting period. What could I try next?
