Tank EA900 been up and running since last Sept. Been stable no issues until about 3 weeks ago.
tnc complete daily 25-30ml
co2 profile was a drop of 1 at lights on (will check this again now)
weekly 50% water change
feed fish 5 days out of 7
all plants look and grow heathly, no issues with red root floaters (grow really quickly)
9 black phantoms and 9 glow tetras, shrimp and dozen or so nerties

the main piece of wood has a;ways had bba underneath and no where else, assumed this would eventually stop but still there (is the wood rotting?) if so can I treat this in the tank At a water change?
also now have the green string algae assume I need to black out the tank for a few days? Is there anything else I can do?

cheers

Also just noticed that I have an oily film in the sectioned off red root floaters, is this ok? Or am I adding to the issues by not letting this get to the skimmer?

Right I’ve tried to brush the underside of the wood, ended up putting large tray on the water which pretty much covered the tank, so just a little bit of debris to tidy up, so far so good.

still need help with string algae and the oily surface from the red root floaters
