Hi
Will be setting up a new open top tank in the next few weeks, plan is to be a planted coldwater high-tech tank. Reason for coldwater and not tropical is rate of evaporation is too high (tank in bedroom), tried it before and condensation formed on walls etc..not pretty.
Was wondering if 'tropical' plants will be happy and grow as well as they would in a tropical setup...
Plant list will be:
Eleocharis mini/acicularis
Monte Carlo
Crypts (unsure of which species, possibly amicorum/parva)
Hydrocytle
I'm hoping they would all be fine, maybe growth rate would be a bit slower than normal, due to the reduced temp.
If anyone has any experience of plants in coldwater, please let me know, thanks.
