Hi,

Was just about to actually buy some under gravel filter trays to use as a base below large rocks in the new scapes and thought i'd come here and see what everyone else has used/is using. To save some pennies if I have it already kicking about.

So, suggestions for areas under heavy hardscape to stop me damaging my tank please?

Best Regards,
John

Polystyrene pieces (used for common packaging)... Cheap, inert and adaptable to the rocks shape. See for example videos on Tropica website to see how they use it. You can use it to prevent scratches and the place rocks in higher position.

I used a hard clear plastic sheeting from diy stores under large seiryu stones as it was thin but tough so easily hidden under even shallow substrates. It's in my NAtural Jurassic journal in my signature on the first page
