T5 Replacement with LED tube

Hi,

I have a Fluval Studio tank with 2 x 850mm T5 tubes. I want to upgrade to LED tubes. Looking on the web one Arcadia LED tube is £40. I would imagine i could get a half decent "proper" LED replacement light for £80 or not much more.

Are there any other cheaper suppliers of LED T5 tubes that would do a similar job for a planted tank?

Very few "T5 LED" replacements give anywhere near the light output of proper T5 HO tubes.

Most Ebay (and many others) T5 replacements give only about Ye Olde T8 levels of output.

The nearest so far are the Aquatlantis light, that are in fact brighter than T5 tubes. A 850mm one is £120.

Will give that a miss then! Will start looking for a new complete LED me thinks!
