T5 light unit problem

I bought a supposedly new juwel 55cm t5 light unit for my trigon 350 about 2 months ago and I've only just now tried it and it's not lighting up! When I switch it on both bulbs glow then go off.

Does this sound like both bulbs are blown or is it the actual unit?

Sounds like the unit is faulty David,you have only had it 2 months,get in touch were you purchased and ask for replacement,dont let them redirect you

I opened up a paypal case on the light unit and the seller has agreed to refund me one I return it. Now I need to think about either getting another juwel unit or going for an iQuatics unit or daytime eco 50.2 led unit which has a juwel fitment. Has anyone used a daytime eco led light?
