Evening from cornwall all,
So this tank has been setup instead of the ada 45f, mainly because the tank sale fell through so I sold all marine equipment instead and kept the tank. I love this tank, moreso now I took the sump, weir and pipework out then sealed up the bulkhead holes.
Nice and quiet again and a lot easier to maintain! Electricity efficient too!

Tank : aquaone eurostyle 180.
Light : hagen glo 2x24watt high output.
Filtration : fluval 306 and fluval 106 (may drop down to just the 306 but the flow is real nice at the moment)
Powerhead : 360lph small 2w pump at the back near co2 just to help with any dead spots around the wood.
Co2 : 2kg fe. Co2 art dual gauge reg with solenoid, gush shard bubble counter, gush no 10 co2 Diffuser.
Heater : fluval 300w digital
Ferts : aquarium plants food ei ferts.
Substrate : tetra complete, sand, mixture of ada stones varying in size.

Plants are a bit of an unknown as there's 4 that I don't quite know what they are... I'm not great on names haha!
Still need to get more plants but I'm happy with how the scape is and I have the co2 dialed in now.
Last two photos are of the plants I don't know what they are.

Still deciding on what to stock it with, but want to get plants sorted first and the co2/dosing all sorted.

Cheers,
Matt.

Tanks running lovely, great flow and co2 seems to be dialed in sweet!

Ordered a few more plants in and got some floaters from hoggie on here.

Cheers
Matt.

Morning all!
So my floaters arrived from hoggie and he also included a few stems which was very kind. One been hygrophila-pinnatifida which is super nice!
Plants from aqua essentials also arrived, all well and good portions!
I got a payrise yesterday so celebrated with some fish purchasing haha.
5 otto's,
12 red cherry barbs and
2 triple red apistogramma cacatuodies.

Can't wait for all this to grow in nicely now!
Cheers,
Matt.

Looks great .

Superb work.

Thanks! I'm chuffed with it and it's only just planted!

Going to get rid of the vallis, doesn't look right at all.
All new plants have perked up after 24 hours. Can't wait for what the coming days will bring! All fish seem happy, pistos are yellow so there happy! Also very curious whenever I've moved something haha.

Cupboard shot also.

So day 15 I believe, got some new bulbs coming (these are 2 years old... Please don't hate me!photo of bulb combo)
Also got. A nice batch of plants coming from hoggie, exciting times!

The apistogrammas spawned after 7 days which was surprising..
I want to add another pair of centre of attention fish if you know what I mean?
Apologies for all the pants photos paha!
Much love,
Matt.

really nice, I like it's messy look - messy in positive sense - different rock and pebbles and their position look very natural

Evening me olds!
Received a mammoth portion of plants from hoggie, it's what I was looking for, RED!
Moved the heater (courtesy of John from Apfuk, told me off!)
And got rid of the vallis, can't wait for the new bulbs now.. Will take a photo tomorrow evening when it's all cleared up.
Cheers!

Thanks! Yeah I was going for the more Natural look with different grades of pebbles, not quite sure what I want to do with the wood just yet as I haven't had the best of experiences with Moss. Maybe more buce.. I've been out of the game a few years so it's more a test on what works and what doesn't.

A week since the last update.
Also got some angels, 2 breeding pairs from a friends tank shut down.
They seem to have settled in well, it's been an itch I've wanted to scratch for a while now haha.
We shall see!
Only algea I have is on the rught hand side front of the tank, excess light coming into the room I think, or maybe diatoms.
I'm still actively looking for a doser for my ferts so that's the next thing.
Then print a double strainer for both filters on the 3d printer (1 large strainer strainer, 2 connection points)
Cheers,
Matt.
