Wonder any help with this. My Sweet Peas were doing ok till the heatwave. In the very hot days l gave them a watering in the late evening. Since then both areas were planted have developed mildew and flowers are a bit dismal . I tried to up the miracle grow twice in seven days to no difference. Thinking overwatered despite the weather, soil not enriched enough in spring? No visible pests.

Sweet peas don't like the heat and can burn out quite early in the season if you don't remove all the flowers and let them go to seed. Ours are normally past their best by now in a normal year but if you stagger sowing you can get them to go on for longer.
They like their roots moist but if the leaves get wet you can get mildew.
