This was my AR mini 7 days ago it now looks like this

can anyone tell me possible causes ?

The only changes that were made during this period were:-
  • Koralia pump position changed to adjust flow pushing Co² directly towards front of tank ( but is has been in that position before).
  • 6 Gold sucking loaches added
  • 3 Oto's added
My stock is Amano's, Corydorus, Cardinal's, Angel's, Danio's and Pearl Gourami's.

My daughter gold fish had loosen a lot of these plants up while rooting around so I have got 7 plants sitting in fresh water on window sill.

How long can I keep them like this? (are they worth keeping)
What are their chances of survival?

6 Gold sucking loaches added
"gold sucking loach" - I'd be returning these to the shop yesterday
These get big 20 - 28cm SL, & territorial (& they often attach to sides of fish & "suck" eg, discus, goldfish, angels)
They can also rasp away on soft plant leaves

Aquarium Size
An aquarium with base dimensions of 150 ∗ 45 cm should be the smallest considered.

I'd just add these back to the tank - they were rooting well & this may be mostly physical damage - as I recall AR is not the easiest plant to transition to emerse growth

I don't recall your CO2 & fertilizer levels but AR mini often takes a bit of time before it really starts growing so likely just some patience (& stock checks) will see it through
