Superfish Slim LED 74 conversion into smart light?

Are you sure you have connected red and black wires correctly. LED effectively is diode and will let electricity through only one way.

@MrClockOff Possibly not although the DC cable only has red and white cables. I connected red to one of the v+ output sockets as I assumed red is positive and then the white to the v-

Yeah, sounds correct but have you checked red is outer or inner connection. Power supply will tell you where is +, inside or outside of barrel connector.

I've tried all different combinations. This is the controller. Is it even the correct type as there was different options. I chose the single colour as the light is just white with no RGB

So if you say controller is working and connecting to WiFi which means PSU connector polarity is matching controller’s input polarity. This also means that internal connector pin has to be +. Without multimeter it’s hard to tell which part is not working. It could be faulty wire, or red wire is connected to outer part of connector, or faulty controller. By the way my controller would not appear on the app if light was physically disconnected.

This is my setup:

Thanks so wired it exactly the.same but no joy so something is faulty. The controller can see the app when power is applied to it. Might try a new cable cause I like the look of the options that can be applied in the app. Are all DC extender cables the same.in regards to amperage.

I guess they all are different. I have this one https://amzn.eu/d/9cQedR2

Yea that one is 3.28ft ( which is 6.56 feet there and back) and uses 22ga wire and lists 5.4 Amps (12v, 65watts)
This calculator (note in the notes you do use TOTAL length there and back for the calculations.
It shows that 22ga is good for up to 5 amps but not 5 amps @ 24V, 1 meter

Voltage loss is really the main issue.
12v 3A 10ft there and back 2% voltage drop you are already into 18ga

Like I think I mentioned these calculators are "generally" conservative but no guarantee on this one.
Another one..
