Sump setup struggles

Hi all,

I'm struggling to get enough outflow on my drilled tank.

The pump lifts the water into the tank, and as things stand I've got the factory-fitted outlet running alongside an extra outflow pipe that I fitted temporarily to allow more flow.

But it's still not enough. If I set the pump to a rate of 10x vol the pump ends up pumping 10% air - practically emptying the final section of the sump.

I'd appreciate any thoughts on what my best solution is. I'd like to keep the tank, but allow for more flow - in a way that doesn't look too conspicuous.

Thanks!

Is the main outflow slightly blocked?

You were right Castle! The foam was too tightly packed into the inlet cover. Have replaced it with a square of foam held by the current - and it's working perfectly, at least for now. I'll see if I can lose the green pipe or at least get a colourless one. Thanks!

That's all OK! I was doing some back of my hand calculations and based on diameter and drop I couldn't see any reason for reduced flow other than a block :)
