Hello Everyone

I'm an oldie newbie.

So much has changed since I had an aquarium in the 1980s with pea gravel, a tiny corner filter, and a pump that hummed loudly.
Retirement rekindled my interest and lowered my bank balance when I bought a 240 litre tank ... and latterly a 200 litre.

For the 200- I would like to separate Fluval Stratum from sand using substrate dividers, but finding them seems impossible.
Can anyone tell me if I can use flexible cutting boards made from ‎Plastic, Polypropylene (PP)? There are some transparent ones on Amazon which will be easy to cut to size.
I've recently watched the Green Machines 'Reciprocity' by James Findley on YouTube and loved the clean lines between the substrate.

The tank is for a male betta.

Thank you - appreciated.

Polypropolene is fine in the aquarium. Wash well in warm water before first use just in case there are are any residual contaminants from the manufacturing process or if anything has been sprayed on to deter mould and suchlike in storage.

A lot of clear containers that contain microwaveable meals in supermarkets are also PP, which would be a more cost effective solution, but might not be big enough for your needs unless you join several pieces together.

Thank you so much, that's very helpful 🙂
