Haven't had a tank for a few years, and there seems to have been lots of development in knowledge since then so lots to catch up on. Fished the old (small) tank out from the garage to find a chip in the bottom corner so I've just purchased a new (slightly less small - 125l) tank which is still in the box while I read up on what I actually want to do with it! At least I know what I'm working with now.
The new guidelines here for cycling a tank are interesting and make a lot of sense. I'm bound to be back with some questions at some point! In the meantime, I'll soak my wood, and rinse some sand, and decide what to do.
