Stainless Canister

I actually looked at these a while back, would be interested also but I couldn't find much feedback. Wonder if you can chuck an Iwaki pump on it 😀
 
Pretty much like the ADA and Chihiros filters, but without the pump.

Would love one and would match my stanless steel inlet/outlet (three broken glass lily pipes and a few cuts later I decided glasswear wasn't for me).

Not sure I'd chance an Ali Express, but some of the things there do sometimes pan out.
 
I don’t normally order anything from Aliexpress but they had something else I wanted so I’ve placed an order for it. I guess I expected it would be tax and import duty paid like the Chinese stuff I buy on eBay. I’m not sure this is the case though. After I paid for the order there was a note about import duty and taxes. I’m now expecting a bill from a courier in a couple of weeks time. If this is the case then that canister could work out quite a bit more expensive. 😉
 
I've ordered plenty of Radio Control stuff from Aliexpress and never had any issues. Alot of the time they'll mark down the value on the exterior paperwork, which most of the time helps things travel under the radar

I’d be more concerned with the quality of the pump.

Definitely do your research and buy a decent one.

I will keep my fingers crossed that it'll be one of those good finds, I like the idea of this type of filter.
 
I’m still waiting for another Aliexpress order. I’ll see how that turns out but to be honest I’ve spent enough on filters recently. I bought a Fluval 207 and I’m not overly impressed if I’m honest. I’m currently doing some work on an Eheim Classic 250 so I’ll see how that goes.

How come you ain't getting on with the 207? I have two and find them great, both are also extremely quiet.
 
Mines not. And the other issue is that it’s the only external I’ve ever had that has completely vertical inlet/outlet pipes which makes hose runs problematic in my cabinet. Sadly not a good buy for my setup. My fault though, I should have thought it through and bought a Biomaster 250. 😉
